Coyote Buttes South

I wrote a bit more about this amazing place in my journal entry a few days ago, but finally got around to uploading and editing the pictures. Out of all of the areas I’ve been to, I must say that this was the most bizarre. I would even venture to say that, if I were tasked with showing someone the Paria and only could show them one thing, it would without a doubt be Coyote Buttes South.

All of the colors, swirls, layers…this place is a trip.

These rock formations called “Teepees” are some of the main attractions here. They are massive, don’t let the picture fool you.

I wasn’t kidding when I said it was like being inside a Salvador Dali painting
