Best restaurants & bars in Vilnius

Vilnius seems to be changing and fast becoming more a ‘foodie’ city with new ‘concept’ restaurants and bars opening up often. Restaurants are always very subjective but we’ve listed a few that we like going to.

All the restaurants below apart from Senoji Trobele are centrally located a few minutes away from the centre.

Rene is a belgian restaurant which serves good food. Map link here.

Bistro 18 is centrally located and usually has a short a varied menu (mostly meat dishes). Map link here.

Meat Lovers Pub is good for a steak in a relaxed atmosphere. Map link here.

Senoji Trobele is a very laid back restaurant serving local dishes. Map link here.

Central Places to just sit and have a drink

I’ve marked below the areas in which you can sit in the main squares to just sit and have a drink. They don’t have anything ‘special’ apart from the location.

Keule Ruke

Studio 9 is one of the most popular bars in Lithuania which has both a good outside area, and internal space. Map link here.

La Boheme is a really nice place and more of a wine bar than a restaraunt. Food is good, but there aren’t many local dishes. They mostly serve italian/spanish dishes. Map link here.

In Vino is a wine bar but also has a great courtyard with tables and live music when the weather is good. Very central. Map link here.

Keule Ruke is famous for it’s TrumPutin graffiti. It’s got a hipster outside garden, and serves bbq food. Bbq food is average. Map link here.

Uzupio Kavine serves average food, but the outside terrace by the river is ncie for a drink. Map link here.

Apoteka Bar very unique cocktail bar with most ingredients done in house. Map link here.

Coffee Places

There are several chains that you’ll see dotted around the city such as Coffee Inn and Vero Cafe. For something more interesting and hip try one of the following;

Huracan Coffee has very good coffee and nice atmosphere. There are a few around the city, this one here is centrally located. Map link here.
