TravelBass joins the best transportability with a great true genuine acoustic sound. This unique foldable EUB can be easily assembled and disassembled in the smallest dimension ever.
Its innovative design allows to remove the neck and split the fingerboard in two parts that can be put safely into its TravelBass Box, to be carried easily with you everywhere, even on plane as carry-on luggage.
TravelBass opens to musicians new venues to bring their music everywhere, with no sound compromises.
The instrument is made in Italy by the capable hands of the best Italian luthiers, according to the Italian violin making tradition: the body inner thickness is made following the same method of the acoustic double bass and with highest quality woods, giving to TravelBass an incredible true genuine acoustic sound, definitely in another league than others EUBs on market.
Features
Adjustment screws: an efficient adjusting neck system composed by two screws placed under it, which allows to set up your own favourite neck angle as desired, simply by turning them up or down
Shaped shoulders: two foldable bentwood shoulders that exactly reproduce the double bass silhouette to give to musicians the same tactile references and the same feedback of a traditional double bass. TravelBass shoulders are adjustable in width in 3 different sizes to meet every musician
TravelBassBox: That’s all you need to store and carry the TravelBass into its specifically designed case. Hard plastic shell, soft shockproof foam insert, all terrain wheels and shoulder straps to carry it like a backpack: everything needed for a safe and comfortable transportation.
SafeBridge Tool®: an extremely useful tool that keeps the bridge in the right position, perpendicular to the body, during the tuning, speeding up the assembly process and maintaining the bridge healthy.
The SafeBridge Tool® will be available also in a version for standard double basses as a reward on TravelBass Kickstarter campaign.
Split fingerboard: TravelBass owns its extreme portability to its patented cut fingerboard that can be joined and divided easily and quickly to be stored in less space keeping the fingerboard perfectly smooth with no perceptible gaps.
The two parts are joined thanks to the rigid core in the neck, composed of a T-bar specifically designed and shaped to slide into a dovetail slot on the end part of the fingerboard.
Real acoustic chamber:
Its unique shape, made by the best varieties of wood, with its distinctive constellation of round sound holes, combined with hand made inner thicknesses makes the sound of the TravelBass the most similar to the sound of a traditional double bass: amazingly acoustic, full of harmonics and sustain.
Thanks to this powerful acoustic chamber, TravelBass sounds beautifully even when unplugged, with no amp, at the perfect volume to practice without annoying the neighbours and, at the same time, to still enjoy TravelBass true genuine acoustic sound.

The innovative design and the patented disassembly system allows TravelBass to be safely carried into its TraveBassBox hard case, in the smallest dimension ever.
Doesn’t metter if on bus, metro, cab or by bike: with TravelBass you are going to travel in the stressless and easiest ever.

TravelBassBox dimensions are 35" x 13" x 9", a little bit more than a regular carry-on baggage, but it is still small enough to perfectly fit in overhead bin and that’s enough for the majority of the airline companies.
Almost every airline company have special policies for carrying musical instruments on board and TravelBass falls in these policies: just as example, EasyJet and American Airlines clearly states in their websites that a musical instrument of the dimensions like the TravelBass can be carried on board as hand baggage without any extra fees.
And, just in case, the airline you are going to travel with doesn’t apply special policies for musical instrument you can serenely embark your TravelBass on cargo hold with nothing to fear and paying just the standard fees for a regular baggage.

Its rigid part consists of 3 telescopic hard plastic sections, designed to cover and protect the most fragile parts of the instrument: the bridge and the lower portion of the fingerboard, allowing you to safely carry your already assembled TravelBass around.
Meanwhile, the soft part is made of a waterproof and cut resistant high quality fabric, which protects TravelBass from scratches and it’s provided with handles and large pockets for bow and further accessories.
