So, Mollie became the main sponsor of the event, and some of us went to the conference on behalf of the company.

Madrid is beatiful

This is what Spanish people do to protect themselves from the sun

First thing you do in Madrid — 🍷wine & 🍢tapas

You, engineer people, are lucky: when you’re on vacation — your work stops.
Sales work — never stops.
— Hugo (Boss)

Then we went to see some sort of a majestic (hi, Mali Rezai) park

In the middle of the park there was an Egyptian temple. I tried to ask people around, it was either stolen from Egypt, or has been presented to the government, or somehow conquered in a some way. Dunno, I’m not impressed.

Mollie’s logo was everywhere

The first part of the conference was networking — basically drinking and talking

Epic coincidence has happened — we had there 3 Igors (the girl at the entrance told me), so I got them all for this picture

The next day was the conference itself, where Sander (one of our partners) was participating, talking about payment plugins in Europe

During the drinking I learned about siesta

  • You have a lunch break during 3h
  • First you have the lunch
  • Then you drink a cup of coffee
  • Then you have a sleep

I was quite surprised by having a cup of coffee before sleeping, but Sergio explained, that this is how you don’t got to the deep phase of sleep and awake recharged. I tested.

With Uber you can rent electro-scooters, but those a dangerous bastards: the stop button does not stop, it just slows you down. Almost killed some innocent children and women.

One more park they have there, with living turtles

This is what Spanish people had to do with trains, because they have no Amsterdam centraal

This is it folks, thank you for reading, enjoy your day!
