🎾 Tennis with Mollies

Once upon a time people at our company decided to play tennis.

The game starts with coffee at nice Frans Otten Stadium in Amsterdam, where we played inside.

If you haven’t played tennis before like myself, this is where familiar stuff ends. Then you go through few corridors, and brace yourself for the game. I came without tennis racket but with a hangover from wine festival on Friday

The game itself — it’s a lot of cardio and coordination, rules are similar to ping-pong, but the counting system is super-weird. Also, if you haven’t played before — most probably the ball will go in random direction, that’s why so many people look so concentrated

In between sets you’ve got a choice — to have some rest, or go to a free field and train a little bit. After my first set I was dramatically disappointed, because the ball was flying much further than I expected when I served and I totally could not hit the ball with a racket when it was coming to me. Instead of that I hit my own leg with the racket.

But I was stubborn and asked Daan to train me. Daan is an experienced tennis-man, he played for 3 times at that moment. After the training I could make decent servings (with ~70% rate) and few times I send the ball in the proper direction.

I feel like I am quite close to winning Wimbledon, just like Arne, who recently won it

Mollies were quite happy!

After that was beers and bitterballen, but thats another story.

Stay connected!
