  1. Relax in idyllic Lake Bohinj — Get in touch with nature on the shores of this gorgeous lake. Cycle the valley, kayak the river, hike the Mt Triglav or swim in the lake. Whatever you choose, your wellness will surely benefit.
  2. Ljubljana — The compact nature of the capital of Slovenia allows for it to be explored on foot, made even more enjoyable as much of the centre is pedestrianised. Visit the castle for a crash course in the history of the country and mozy through the old town, especially along with riverfront with the bountiful supply of relaxed bars and cafes.
  3. Piran — Mix it up and get a dose of the Med along the 47km of coast separating Italy and Croatia. The picturesque Venetian old town of Piran is the jewel in the crown. Make sure to eat at Okrepcevalnica Cantina on Prvomajski Trg; order from a window and eat delicious seafood under the leafy canopy.
  4. Lake Bled — Arguably more visually beautiful than Lake Bohinj, Lake Bled also lacks the protection of a national park meaning plenty of crowds staying in the built up areas on the lakes edge. There is a certain amount of charm with the island church, cliff hugging fortress and the buzz of community.
  5. Postojna caves — Time seems surreal as you wonder through the caves, pondering the seemingly endless stalagmites and stalactites. The cave network spreads over 20km but only about 5km is open to the public, which is more than enough.
