Blockchain technology and its applications in travel have been a major discussion topic over the last year. Now it’s time to take that next step and get your hands dirty — gain practical training on how to build the next generation travel products leveraging Blockchain based distribution.

This is your chance to jump into a hands-on training delivered by Winding Tree — the team that has successfully completed its ICO, partnered with Lufthansa, Air New Zealand, Nordic Hotels, and other travel businesses looking to disrupt the current state of travel distribution, skipping costly intermediaries and majorly improving inventory data accuracy.

This is the first and only opportunity in travel industry to deep dive into decentralized distribution and learn practical skills to work with Blockchain technology on both demand and supply side of travel.

All TTC18 pass holders are eligible to join the workshop, however due to high demand — this workshop requires an advance RSVP which we will share with attendees prior to the workshops day.

We had a chance to ask Augusto a few questions about his vision on the future of technology.

TTC: Augusto, what in your opinion drives innovation and leaps forward in technology today and how is it different from say 10 years ago?

Augusto: Today innovation is driven by communication, privacy and independence from centralized systems, 10 years ago it was only about communication.

TTC: What do startups building next generation products need to understand about technology evolution and future opportunities?

Augusto: Never marry your product to one technology, everything changes and some things won’t live forever, the WWW will die some day, and startups should be ready for the next thing.

TTC: What are some of your favorite tech products, projects or innovation initiatives that travel industry should be paying attention to?

Augusto: Decentraland and the self driving cars, Decentraland is a virtual world that use blockchain for land registry and exchange, you can go inside and see how the first decentralized virtual world is being built. Self driving cars, because I think they are awesome and can be used in any location. In ten years driving would be just telling a machine where you want to go.

Looking forward to learning more from Winding Tree. Join Augusto’s workshop at Travel Tech Con 2018.
