TRAVEL GUIDELINES FOR CHARDHAM YATRA 2024
· Pilgrims/Devotees/Tourists register online for Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib.
· Registration of all the pilgrims on the state government’s portal is mandatory before their arrival.
· There is no requirement to carry a negative Covid-19 test report or a vaccination certificate this year.
· The daily limit of visitors in each Dham now increased to Badrinath: 16,000, Kedarnath: 13000, Gangotri: 8000, and Yamunotri: 5000
· Trip registration and green card are compulsory for public transport for visiting Char Dham Shrines.
· Book the Helicopter tickets from the authorized website of Uttarakhand Govt/GMVN only to Kedarnath from Guptkashi, Phata, and Siri.

Helicopter Services on Char Dham Yatra Route
As the many devotees participate in Char Dham Yatra within the days of the opening of temple doors of Kedarnath and now Badrinath, Uttarakhand CM, Pushkar Singh has been sending repeated appeals to the pilgrims to make proper arrangements of lodging and other things before arrival. On all the roads leading towards Kedarnath, heavy traffic jams are taking hours to clear as the bookings of the Chardham Yatra Package by Helicopter services have already been sold for May and June.
Health Advisory for Pilgrims
For ensuring pilgrims’ safety on the Char Dham tour, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has issued a health advisory for pilgrims’ health and safety. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, low humidity, excess ultraviolet radiation, and lack of oxygen, the pilgrims face many health hazards. Pilgrims suffering from any disease should consult with their doctors and keep the necessary medicines with them.
If you are coming from the plains, take some rest of the day before starting the journey. It is also advisable to carry some woolen clothes with you. Fraudsters are now posing as Travel Agents for Char Dham Tour
According to the police, many pilgrims are getting increased for the Char Dham Yatra this year, considering over the last two years, which is why tourists are unable to get a cab booking and several fraudsters are taking advantage of this. The criminals keep an eye on devotees and promise them a cab booking, take an advance amount, and then disappear. So, if anyone wants to take a cab booking, they should ask him for the registration documents of his travel agency. In case anyone is duped, they should immediately inform the police.
