Welcome to the TravelWiser Publication!

We welcome all kinds of travelers: people who love to explore, people who love to relax, people who love adventure, people who are alive. We publish travel experiences of real individuals, stories, information on different destinations, and tips for better trips.

Here we answer the question, why do we travel?

The TravelWiser Community

TravelWiser is a global conscious traveler’s community.

We are also a technology company aiming to create the only traveltech app you need to dream, plan, book, and share all your travels.

Join the community and create your profile at https://www.travelwiser.io/.

Want to Write for TravelWiser?

To become a writer, send in your medium USERNAME to us right here. Make sure to include the “@” in front of it. An example is “@travelwiser.”

What We Publish

Submissions should relate to the following topics on travel:

Stories — personal accounts of interesting experiences during travel, people you meet while traveling, lessons, etc.

Information — destinations, where to go, food and drinks, culture, activities, asking for help, environment, etc.

Tips — accommodation, budgeting, transportation, etc.

What We Don’t Publish

● Posts that are too broad, general, or don’t directly relate to the TravelWiser theme.

● While we don’t want to restrict story length, our preference would be a minimum of 3 minutes read time and above.

● Plagiarized articles.

TravelWiser Submission Guidelines

1. Submissions must comply with Medium’s Rules, Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, and Curation Guidelines.

2. We accept both drafts and published stories.

3. Style guide:

● We prefer the layout to be formatted as Title / Subtitle / Feature Image, like the below example shows. Don’t add kickers to your work. We don’t allow clickbait titles. Please make sure the image is credited, and that you have the rights to use it. (You can use free services like Unsplash, Pixabay, Pexels, etc.)

● Use Medium’s formatting features to insert subtitles, embolden/italicize, quote, add dividers, links, and create beautiful structure and visuals.

4. Try to keep grammatical mistakes to a minimum. If you struggle with grammar, feel free to use a free tool like Grammarly. They even have a browser extension that works in the Medium editor. For improved readability and structure, you can use the Hemmingway Editor.

5. Please link out to external sources when you reference them. We prefer embedding these links into the text instead of listing them at the bottom.

6. We encourage pictures, although please make sure they are related to the article, placed correctly and necessary. Balance is important.

7. You’re welcome to add your own appropriate article links within the piece itself or links to your website and social media accounts, although we don’t allow a list of your other articles at the bottom of the article.

8. We value your submissions, but please allow us 1–3 days to get to your submission. We may change the title, subtitle, images, tags, and words if necessary. We may edit sentences or paragraphs if they are vague or hard to understand, but make sure that your voice as a writer still remains intact.

9. We may link other TravelWiser pieces within your post, if appropriate with the piece.

10. Lastly, by publishing with us, you understand your post may show up on our external website, www.travelwiser.io, newsletter that we send out to our community, and other social media accounts belonging to TravelWiser. We also have content collaboration with other travel-associated companies, and you understand your post may be republished at any time under the blogs of these companies.

Why do we travel?

Earlier we asked this question and for us, there is only one answer. It is what our publication embodies:

“We travel not to feel alive; we travel because we are alive.”
