Charity will always be the main-focus of this protocol. We feel it is time to begin deciding which causes and organizations the first round of charity funding should be allocated to. We have initiated a proposal for the first donation.
Hiring $TREE Developers to execute protocol upgrades.
Adjusting TREE Burn function (x raised to the power of x1.25) WhalerDAO would like to initiate the first burning of TREE. We will reveal more details in future updates but our intent is to fully allow community members to participate if desired for a lucrative % of total TREE burned.
Rebase is now a common DeFi term so we’d like to clarify that the $TREE oracle does not the same way as other rebase tokens like $BASE and $AMPL. We’re dropping the word “rebase” from our vocabulary because $TREE is more aptly named an “elastic supply” token, in that it does not change the quantity of $TREE in individual wallets.
Initially the elastic supply protocol was designed as a way to build an increasing treasury that backed the value of TREE. After our initial launch, bots sniped the rebase, and this was undesirable to end users. We’re working on a new upgrade that should allow more users to buy at the rebased price.
