Treepex device is an amazing example of adopting natural processes in technology for human well-being. It’s a new project of innovative start up company from Tbilisi, Georgia. It is a first ever portable gadget, which transforms polluted air into fresh mineral enriched oxygen. The main part of the device is its cartridge — it provides oxygen equal to the amount of fresh air produced by a mature tree. Cartridges come in three types, based on the DNA of Oak, Pine and Maple leaves.

The device has many features with a mobile app being one of them. Treepex easily synchronizes with smartphones (iOS and Android) and monitors current status of the device, e.g., battery level or cartridge status and type. With Treepex app, it is easy to keep track of your progress. Similar to apps like Strava and RunKeeper, Treepex app uses your phone’s GPS to track your mileage and speed whenever you go out running or cycling, giving you automatically generated progress report.

Treepex device and its app make up a perfect tandem for cyclists, as the device recognizes when its user rides their bike. Device automatically switches to appropriate mode, providing stronger stream of mineral enriched air. Besides cycling, the app has walking and running modes, with appropriate power and speed of streaming oxygen.

The device is most relevant for big city dwellers, where the level of air pollution is significantly higher. Cars and factories producing CO2 are commonly the main cause of pulmonary related diseases. Treepex app shows you how much of CO2 is transformed. Knowing this info, you feel safer while being in a center of polluted area.

App controls oxygen level of the device and informs you when the cartridge needs to be replaced by the new one. Inserting new cartridge sends info to the app and it automatically recognizes whether it’s Pine, Oak or Maple.

The app will be available as soon as Treepex will hit the market. Currently developers are working to make Treepex App even more friendly to other fitness Apps. Pretty soon the app will be open sourced creating more opportunities for healthy future.
