Version 1, just a shot. (29th April)

What I’m trying to achieve — marketing director’s table with SalesLayer on it. Originally I wanted to have iPad there with the GIF animation going through the platform, editing colors, languages etc. But I couldn’t find the right pic so I went this way of showing platform (GIF is still the plan).

It’s more like a draft. I would like to know what do you think about it. The footer button does not make any sense right now without the text etc.

Samuel (marketing at Sales Layer): The style is clear. But I have some suggestions about content and final customer point of view. We have to transmit easily that : we have the solution to sort the information chaos for big business, and unify the forces to sale in all the ways with all the information. The current video shows the idea very well, and the website must have this caracteristic.
The new website there are elements of a desk, a classic book , flowers and small drawings a couple of sentences . It gives a feeling of home solution for organizing tasks and regular agenda. This is not the idea. Saleslayer takes information from very different professional sites , ERPs, marketing office , photographer, translators and provides real-time information to many online stores , online catalogs , apps and places the code to print the catalog or send cards in any language anywhere in the world. I think it’s very important to keep the spirit of the video. The message must be understood immediately. Saleslayer is the heart of information management and the key to success of large companies that sell on multiple platforms. In the home screen should not be the admin screenshot . It´s not the place . I really like the videos from Squarespaces , but it seems even clearer the system of icons and animations in the current video. Seize what is valid and improve, that is the key. The customers are systems managers, CEOs and Marketing directors or senior professionals. Thanks

… long story short: there is a problem, if I want to show the same way as video below.

However video includes an important 3 minutes commentary and replacing it with a long text description would not be a solution here… hmmmm

Video me and Samual are talking about

Version 2 — transforming video

We’ve decided to skip the first half of the video “about the problem” to “the solution”. However I still need to be a pretty concrete so people would understand that guy translates it, this girl is retouching photo and wow! that’s my ecommerce and iOS app…

That means pretty concrete illustration and good animation. Hmmm.

Animation: Manager sends product to SalesLayer, Russian translates everything to azbuka live (=it changes on all devices as he’s writing)
Photographer comes, delete the gray border and edit the color of t-shirt ☺

Alvaro (CEO at Sales Layer): Hmmm, Martin. That’s amazing, however we need sth different. More business like.

Hmmmm, that’s unfornute. Let’s move then.

Version 3.

Check the description and Alváro’s feedback (Sales Layer CEO) in commentary.

1. not going make me get started. (5 years back by now) 2. no video link, 3. desperate check it out formula

Version 3.5

+Full-height picture.
  • +2 Calls To Actions (video + “open new sales channels” )
Way too many (1st Get started, 2nd watch our video, 3rd open new sales channels, 4th menu links) => not clear what shall I do = leaving.
  • Trying to give a user intuitive flow from 1st call to conversion. And to avoid even more distractions I made the image full-height.

Flow — how it shall be. And hopefully is.

  1. Attention (that guy is looking on you and saying sth + consider it. he looks important and interested).
  2. Get his interest. <= More sales. and less catalog management. (when user is interested he will start looking for more info now it’s when he decides based on his preferences)
  3. Convince him. Video? Watch our latest (big company feeling) video. Looking for more info? → Retailer? Supplier? or interested in opening new sales channels?

Now it’s up to other pages to convince the user and make him “Get Started”.

The part after scrolling…

1 big chaos

New one.

Understandable, cleaner,
  1. → 2. 100 million → Get Started
  2. hopefully easy-to-understand

The rest
