When people hear the name Cristiano Ronaldo, they immediately start saying that the ex-Manchester United player and current Real Madrid player is arrogant and conceited, but usually they don’t know a single thing about him.

Here are five interesting facts about the Portuguese ace that may change your mind.

1. Anti-addictions

At a very young age, Ronaldo lost his father due to a heavy alcohol addiction. As a result, he does not drink. The Real Madrid superstar does not smoke, as well because he does not want anything interfering with his health and rigorous career.

2. Ink free

It is common to see soccer players covered in tattoos. So this means Ronaldo has one hidden that we are not aware of, right? No. Not many fans are aware that Cristiano abstains to ink his body, because he helps children overcoming debilitating diseases by donating blood, something he wouldn’t be able to keep doing if he got a tattoo.

3. Family oriented

The 30-year-old also makes spending time with his family and huge priority in his life. He also took it upon himself to support all of them. Ronaldo’s mother is the one that has always been there for him. She isthe one that takes care of his son Cristianinho, who was conceived through a surrogate procedure five years ago. The soccer player has a really close relationship with his three siblings and helps them in everything they need.

4. Humanitarian

It is no secret that professional athletes make bank, and the starting forward and captain of Portugal’s national team is no exception. Ronaldo is one of the best-paid athletes and yes, he is always driving the coolest cars, wearing terrific watches, glasses, clothing, but Ronaldo is also extremely charitable. Most people aren’t aware of this because he does not feel the need to share it with the media, but Ronaldo aids children’s charities, along with many other worthy causes.

After his breakup with Irina Shayk and another rumored girlfriend, he may be looking for that special someones shoulder to cry on.
