How is the Price Database organized?

Each product category within the Trendful Price Database is meticulously organized into hierarchical attributes, ensuring that you can find what you're looking for with ease.

Handbags:

Handbags are classified first by brand, followed by model and style. These classifications then lead to what we call “variants,” which include different sizes and colors of a particular handbag model. This logical structure is not only intuitive but also aids in precise product identification. For example, when searching for a specific handbag, you’ll find it by searching the brand, model, and/or style, and can find variants reflecting its various sizes and color options.

Watches:

Watches, on the other hand, are categorized based on brand, family, case, and dial. Each model may have several variants, which can differ by bracelet type, hand details, or other intricate design elements. This classification by unique reference ensures that you can locate the exact watch you're interested in, even down to the smallest detail.

To enhance your search experience, the database offers two powerful search methods. You can either type in the product name — our typo-tolerant engine ensures that you find the right match even if you misspell a word — or you can use our innovative image recognition feature, Trendful Vision. Simply upload an image, and we’ll do the rest, matching it to the closest product reference in our database.

Once you’ve located a product reference, the Trendful Price Database provides you with a wealth of information:

• Fair Market Values: Trendful calculates fair market values by aggregating and analyzing prices from a variety of sources, including both managed and peer-to-peer marketplaces. Our algorithms filter out outliers, give more weight to recent data, and prioritize pricing from industry leaders like TheRealReal, Fashionphile, Rebag (for handbags), and Watch Report, Montro, TrueFacet (for watches).

• Marketplace Estimates: We provide market estimates for major marketplaces, allowing you to align your pricing strategy with those of your reference stores.

• Price Data Samples: You can explore price data samples, complete with clickable online listings. This feature facilitates further research by showing you the original listing’s price, the date it was scraped, and the source website, giving you deeper insights into the product’s market dynamics.
