Building an OS is kind of like making a cake.

Happy New Year! Here’s a quick update on what we’ve been up to.

Remmina Remote Desktop & Power Statistics Icons

Rainier UI continues to grow its icon library thanks to the our team and new contributors that are utilizing our icon specifications we published in our budding style guide earlier this month.

We see our style guide as the “source code” to our design and hope to expand on- and move beyond just icons in the coming months.

Default settings for Trenta OS organized in a spreadsheet

We’re also happy to report progress on the Trenta OS front as well. We’ve had some amazing team contributions over the last couple of months that bring us closer to an installable disc image. Though, most of these are happening behind the scenes.

We’re working on getting all the default settings and applications built out, and have begun work on custom applications. This will assist us to streamline not only the building of Trenta OS this year, but future updates as well. We plan on going into further detail soon.

Lastly, we are working on giving the Trenta OS webpage the makeover it deserves to match the Trenta.io homepage that went live in November.

In all honesty, we wish we had “flashier” updates for the new year, but these things take time. You could say we’re gathering all of the ingredients to bake a cake while developing the recipe at the same time.

As always, thank you to all of our supporters, contributors and the Trenta.io team for their continued work and support. Can’t wait to share more news with you soon.

Until next time. Thank you.
