The UN Biodiversity, on Water as a primary resource, and its conservation.

When i was a freshman in Uni, i wrote a paper about The Hothouse Effect, the predecession for all climate change exchanges in future - for an english communications class summer paper.

It commanded my full 3-week research hop from college library to college library, trawling what was a really rare find of skeptic after skeptic scientific information in 1989.

That was really trying.

I just had the validation of getting an A+ for the paper, having researched it with extensive book from Jeremy Rifkin, postulating how terrible it was to continue to formulating policy, on a “scientist’s whim”.

How i am still alive to see Europe passing protocols, Kyoto + Paris, and the Copenhagen climate treaties, i don’t really account to that tiny paper.

I account it to climate scientists being, well, scientists - building the utensils for forking the correct data and incorporating that to climate appropriate modelling and forecasting into future estates, and predicting how we live as real green accountants -or what carbon efficiency can uphold our lifestyles into actualising the ideals of whole, and resistant to climate change.

Effecting change, isn’t a calling for everyone. It relies on our ability to collaborating with our least likely selves (the ones who invest into industries that pollute and those money-accelerating accounts without understanding the rootedness to exploits in the third world), to upgrade into the actualisation sentries of our bigger selves (the ones who take out the garbage with the recylables not mixed into the food garbage). But, it is the real advocacy prospecting that we ought to become.

It’s earth day. Every year.

And like birthdays, is a reminder of time passing, and perhaps, if not today (of all days) to start something small or big, or something that incorporates the best bits of your united lives - the university lives that delved on proper theory and formal protocols (how to summon our analytical lives, to forge the beacon to your best lives), and your work/careeer lives (the ones that had a calling, that you had answered with the life that you have now) to effect the sum of all things that you were caught up in doing for the greater good.

Can you teach protocols and science, in formal school? For sure. Can you teach conscientiousness (that makes our earth days Lit), in school?

Maybe.
