So Long 2021, Hello 2022!
Like that debbie boon song, that went on and on the radio when i was young (a long time ago), i am allowing light to creep in slowly. Sad, UVBA and UVB rays and all. Somehow, i think it’s funny (& confusing) that happens.
So it’s a new year.
Where does this go… and how do we work it out, to establish and accomplish, some high priority-ish goals?
Not just the pandemic, because that’s a natural disaster that’s never progressed or affected forward by whatever we do, morally (people won’t wear masks unless you make them), intellectually (we just control the safety protocols), and probably really just the things in the periphery when we have gone to what was the normal, instead of what was incepted or perceived as merely the frippery. Long story.
So back to the narrative of outside the circle of (expected) knowledge. When the pill made it down, i think the bubbles of champagne and fake merriment had sunk in, and replaced what was the reality of clearing the disaster of being kept not-just-indoors, but really inside a massive mental war zone.
That is the state of pure delirium.
Not needing books, or media, or things to keep me at home, or keep me stable – in quotes. But a real understanding of what was at stake here. Apart from the trickles of a social media build, but a real arising of what you need to catch up with… and this will sound like a Dr. strange multiverse panic attack… but it does alert me that parallel universes, now more than ever actually avert focus, and we are alerted to other narratives via an intersection, or a fracture in the period of timeline that we stopped all our focus on ours.
Seeking semblances in other universes, as a third culture remnant, is not helping, because, as we have it the recent disruptions had committed itself to wedge our coping systems to being a dependent one. For now. It seeks to embellish something that can be tactfully monitored, rather than really deal with. Or, as i fear, the way to deal with it.
So systems aren’t contained to contain unadmonished behaviour, but instead sustain the ones that work. To help realise what we need to adapt to and the way to get there.
The periphery are the social media wormhole of parallel universes trying to get “here”, get “it”, and maybe get a piece of the action, i guess.
2022, will be. A. Doozy.
But, as very clumsy lovers had uttered from before,
“….we have to (work) sometime”.
