The last month of the year sees two entries – like the last ditch bask in a year full of recovery and panic.

Last year, it was this entry talking about my tatt.

This year, it’s all about commemorations. And that’s more than just buying merchandise totes or mugs – something i collected to say to myself, “i was there”.

But i guess we all do that.

We mark all our journeys, and important dates in our lives with special bits that remind us saps – and others (via an inter-relational social status) – that there was a version of us that did this.

Which brings me to the youtube videos that people still keep at, 10–20 years on. Making actual content before making product or brand collaborations with brands, is the reverse of the more common marketing-to-mass-advertising of industrial-to-consumer product pipelines. We have traditional media (and the genre of work overall), being run for its money.

The downside would be the making of empty advertorials, opposed to more substantial editorials, in the wake of putting products out there. But the real purpose is a two-in-one, the medium and the talking heads are a rolodex discovery that makes producers now take out the talent agencies and model agencies a run for its money, at least this is how i see it.

It is a win-win when you view the brands are now thinner as it were, making more products than channels can actually push out the pipelines was somehow feared as dilution of its heft and continued patronage. I think that after three years, i have been seriously since watching the same subscriptions more than read my Architectural Digest or imported Fashion rag print, and haven’t really picked up where i left off, as easily as its digital version.

If this is because of my snazzy new ipad that replaced my fizzled out macbook from the pandemic indoor frenzy, i think that affirms the interaction that happens in the tech behind the user formulas that continue to reinvent lives that try to reconfigure and remap the ways in which they can improve energy = life = better health equations, that i regret to say, are Not just a concern for the older people.

It is the reality that dysfunctions everyone, because guess what – we are all connected.

Now more than ever.

And ioT defines it as it is, not should be. Designing content is a lot simpler, when you roll with it, but if your pathing is not a creative one, it’s not to say it won’t be. It’s not hard to be, with all these mind-mapping devices interacting with our brains all day.

I think if it traces How we live, we can probably help along by showing it the shortcuts of “telling it”, via tweets, social platform interactions, etc. knowing that the elves have it in them to research and maybe even without tagging my posts with #backend #find #me tags, the people who actually (crucially) read it, will actually do that ANYWAY.

So alas, I won’t be making videos.

I won’t be writing a ledger, and earmarking three years of trep-expense.

Or naming a new car, or making new websites apart from these, (maybe assign a domain again, for easy finding) but as life moves on to gain new ground, so it finds itself somehow.

Not building a house in New Zealand that runs a green switch to run both family and business needs..

And not having people fly around, and come over for the holidays.

I will not be poetry reading in the art cafe, or making new apps, or reviving interests that had way waned in 2012 to late 2018..

But i will be writing my New Year’s resolutions, and decide where to view fireworks (are there fireworks?) this year. And not be buggered with twelve elves, or reindeer, or no-snow sitch, or anything potentially bumming out the season, really.

And if I don’t write back, it really is a technical problem, don’t take it personally. It’s simply semantics. Moving, mobile, expatriate founding, etc, are the downside to being me. Boo.

Staying posted, eating healthy, steady, press return, and go.
