On Saturday the 19th October Leetspeak will descend upon Stockholm and Münchenbryggeriet — and we can’t wait! Now, before we get too carried away, some of you might be asking “what is this Leetspeak that they speak of?”. Well, Leetspeak is our passion project; a developer conference with the specific aim of sharing knowledge with our much loved community — since 2012.

What should you expect from Leetspeak this year? Well, as always, top-notch sessions by first-class speakers, but we will also be doing things a little differently in 2019. This year, we’re inviting you to experience our first-ever interactive Leetspeak and giving you the opportunity to learn, interact and have fun with the conference environment around you.

Just like every year, we offer tickets to the community for the symbolic amount of just 200 SEK; our so-called Knowledge Seeker tickets. These will be going live around mid-August, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Something new for this year is the Honourable Supporter tickets; a limited amount of special edition tickets are already available and can be found on our website. Make sure to check them out, as this batch of tickets helps make it possible for us to host an even better Leetspeak!

So, back to this years’ theme. In many cases, software is what brings hardware to life, gives it a purpose and enables it to follow that purpose. We, as craftspeople, have the power to create, invent and bring software (and hardware) to life. But once it’s been created, then what? Where does our responsibility as craftspeople and creators end? Does it end? How does it work in practice?

This year at Leetspeak, we will not only listen to our speakers’ present on multiple tech subjects — but also look into the life-giving power of software. We want to open and discuss what responsibilities we as professionals and craftspeople have to craft our software well.

We truly look forward to seeing you in Stockholm in October!
