As an in-house UX/UI designer of Tri Petch ISUZU, the main goal was to help shape truck customers’ decisions by finding the right vehicle for them. In the beginning, the existing website combines light commercial vehicles (pickup trucks & SUVs) and commercial trucks (big trucks) together because, from the business point of view, they want the customer to understand that Tri Petch ISUZU sells both types.

According to the user interview, the customer who wants to buy big trucks are not interested in pickups and SUVs, so we decided to separate big truck contents out of the pickup and SUV contents from the website. Therefore, the challenge is to design the main navigation to serve both users and businesses. That is to create 2 sites that link seamlessly together.

Starting from re-designing the sitemap, we conducted a user interview that focus on what type of information customers would like to know and help shape their decisions. Call-to-action buttons were also considered to creating more leads.

After the sitemap process, wireframes were designed to communicate with the stakeholders and developers according to all requirements of users and businesses. The goal of designing the truck website is to help customers who have no knowledge of what type of truck suits their usages and business.

So the features that we focus on are two main features:

  1. Search with filters
  2. Compare truck features

Another main feature of the truck website is the rear body information. From the previous website, the rear body contents were missing, and this was one of the pain points for truck customers. When customers want to buy a truck, customer needs the truck with the rear body for their full usage, which was not included in our products. Therefore we need to give them advice on which models are able to build the specific rear body. According to this pain point in the truck model pages, we give users a preview of the most built rear bodies, so that users can decide better.

The ISUZU Truck website has been launched and will be followed by the new design of the pickups and SUVs website. By monitoring google analytics and other monitoring tools, we found out that a lot of truck customers are corporate customers and they browse through desktops around 50%. According to this information keeping a good responsive design is very important, so that we can provide good experiences through all sizes of screens.
