On display at Inventors Liftoff and more
I recently had the opportunity to attend Inventors Liftoff, an event held in partnership with The Forge and the Greensboro Partnership’s Entrepreneur Connection. The event was spread out over three days and focused on all aspects of inventors. There were several panels and speakers over the three day period, ending with a showcase of inventors on the last day. Though I was not able to attend all three days I was there to display some of my creations on the final day.
The Inventors Liftoff showcase consisted of several inventors and entrepreneurs with their ideas on display. Visitors would wander from area to area talking to different inventors, asking questions and learning a little bit about their ideas and the person behind the ideas. There was also an “Ask the Experts” panel where experts from different fields answered questions anyone might have. There was over an hour of good discussion about their experiences and best practices. Overall, it was a great night. I met a few people and was able to catch up with some fellow entrepreneurs.
I look forward to the next Inventors Liftoff.
Robots, robots and more robots
We are currently working on the brand identity of RoboMustache, the story, product line and every little aspect of what it takes to launch a company. We have decided on the products that we would like to launch with, have all of the major points of the story and are getting close to a resolution on the brand identity. There is still a lot of work left, but I am feeling good about everything. Over the next few weeks we will be finalizing all of these aspects and building onto it to help ensure RoboMustache can sustain and grow.
I’ll also be attending a couple of different events over the next few weeks:
- Idea Slam! — April 15, 8 a.m. at Co//ab
- Triad Startup Weekend — April 17–19 at Co//ab
- Burlington Mini Maker Faire — April 25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Holly Hill Mall
I encourage you to stop by the Idea Slam! and the Burlington Mini Maker Faire to see me. Also, if you are interested in a crash course in starting a business, want to network or need help on an idea then sign up for the Triad Startup Weekend, registration is required.
