We’re excited to share that we have been awarded an R&D grant to develop a blockchain-enabled electronic Consenting (‘eConsenting) solution together with our strategic partner Sphereon. We will be the first in the world to digitalise informed consent using privacy-preserving technologies for Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Verifiable Data (cornerstones of Web 3).

Informed Consent is essential for patient safety and ethical research conduct, but is often a source of audit/inspection findings due to issues related to record keeping and signatures.

We will be the first in the world to tackle these issues by using privacy-preserving Web3 technologies for SSI and Verifiable Data.

Developing these SSI technologies forms a logical stepping stone in our development roadmap as we create the building blocks for other tools, applications, and integrations within the Triall ecosystem.
