Tribe Turns 2!

Today is TribalScale’s 2nd Year Anniversary, and we can’t believe how fast time has flown by! I’m so proud of what our Tribe has accomplished in 2 years and I’m even more excited about the future of TribalScale. All I can say is, we have big plans coming; the #TakeOver is just beginning.
Looking back at this past year, here are 10 of my favourite moments with the Tribe:
#1. Surpassing 100 employees
In less than two years, we went from 0 to 100 employees. Our Tribe has grown to over 125 members globally!
#2. TakeOver Conference
On Oct 2nd, we held our inaugural TakeOver Innovation Conference. We had over 800 attendees, 83 speakers (52% females & 48% males), and 21 sessions, and our hashtag #TOIC17 was trending on Twitter. Our TakeOver team was able to accomplish in a short period of time. We received so much support and positive feedback from our attendees, and we look forward to hosting even more big events like TakeOver in the future!
#3. Launching Venture Studios
In our first year, we helped companies create world-class digital products. In our second year, we wanted to do something more. We launched Venture Studios alongside seasoned venture investor and operator, Roger Chabra our Chief Innovation Officer, to create disruptive startups by working alongside entrepreneurs and corporations. Currently, we have exciting companies and studio projects in the Voice, AI, Blockchain, and Mobile sectors.
#4. Expanding our leadership team
This year, we added a number of key members to our growing leadership team, including Jane Motz Hayes as our Director of Design, and Imtiaz Jaffer as our VP of Sales.
#5. Launching our Data Sciences offering
We kickstarted our AI services by hiring Geoffrey Hunter as our Data Sciences Lead!
#6. Opening our new office in the OC
In sunny California, we moved from a co-working space to our own office!
#7. Kickstarting our Dubai team
The TribalScale TakeOver went global! We opened up an office in Dubai and our team has grown to 14 employees and counting.
#8. Moving into our new HQ in Toronto
Four office moves later… we are now calling 200 Wellington St W. our home. This space is triple the size of our previous office at 48 Yonge, giving us plenty of space to grow! #AllTheWayUp
#9. Being recognized by Amazon and Google as expert Alexa skill and Action builders for their voice platforms
Voice is one of the biggest innovations in tech right now, and our Tribe is at the forefront of this new wave of computing. We’re working with some of the biggest media and sports brands to prepare them for this evolution from screens to voice.
#10. Quarterly team events and music videos
We played arcade games at eZone, had our annual beach day outing, and celebrated the end of summer with our boat cruise party! On top of that, we also created some awesome music videos like this and this.
Theres so many more highlights and milestones that the Tribe has accomplished this year, but these are just a handful of our favourites. We can’t wait to see where we’ll be in Year 3!
