Tribes is all about helping your members connect better. We’ve now made it fast and easy for your users to engage with each other within your space.

Local messaging allows your members to send direct chat messages to one another when they're within your community space.

To set up the feature you'll need to have your local tracking set up.

There are 3 ways of tracking your members:

Check-ins

Using the Tribes Kiosk, your members can check in to your community space. When they check in, they will be local.

IP Radar

You can track members within your space by setting up the Member IP Radar for your Tribe. This monitors your community space’s internet connection, and anyone using Tribes from that internet connection is considered local.

Wifi Radar

If your internet is powered by Cisco Meraki or Aerohive cloud managed platforms, you can directly integrate and monitor members as they connect to your local network.

Once your members are being tracked, local messaging will allow them to connect in your community space.

Each time they use Tribes from within your space, the Members in the space menu will show them the shortlist of other members.
