Garlic Harvest Calendar by Variety
White garlic is one of the most prevalent cultivars of garlic, but with varying harvest seasons across countries. Mexico has the longest-running season for White garlic, from March to September. Malaysia and China have the same harvest period for White garlic, from June to September. India, Nigeria, and Spain have a short season for the variety, but India’s harvest season is late Winter, while Nigeria and Spain are in late Summer. Egypt’s White garlic harvest, which is from February to May is the same as its Red Garlic harvest season. China and Spain are top exporters for garlic, but China dominated the field with approximately 71% of world exports, with an export value of USD 1.99 Billion in 2019.
