Exactly 1 year ago, we started a company called Trigger Finance. Our mission was simple, to inspire all investors to invest rationally through a simple rules-driven approach.

Anyone who’s ever bought or sold a stock will know; often times an emotion, like fear or greed can become drivers for an action. Between the media, your friends, twitter and the market itself, it becomes really difficult to stay calm when it concerns your investments. That’s why we created Trigger, and today we are releasing Trigger to everyone.

Trigger is a new mobile app that makes it easier to invest rationally through rules, called ‘triggers’. A ‘trigger’ is a simple IF THIS, THEN THAT statement; for example, ‘If my GOOG stock reaches 30% returns, THEN sell 1/4 of my GOOG holding’; or ‘if the Fed raises interest rates, then BUY JPM’.

We believe that by investing through triggers, discipline and opportunities will ultimately bridge the gap between how professional investors invest and us.

Trigger helps you make rational decisions for your investments.

Trigger is now available in the App Store and integrates with 8 different brokerages. We will soon be releasing trading capabilities, an API, chained triggers and more. Bringing all triggers to the world of investing

The world of finance is rapidly moving to mobile as a new generation of investors enters the investing market. Trigger is a key part of this mobile evolution by bringing advanced investing capabilities and data sets currently not found in any existing brokerage platforms to your phone, for free. But beyond this, Trigger helps you understand how the events in the world can affect your investment strategies.

You will be able to trigger on any type of data — right now you can trigger on stock price movements, economic events and corporate fundamentals, more than any other service lets you do. Coming soon, we are expanding that list to new types of triggers including commodities, currencies and cryptocurrencies, extreme weather events, and public sentiment.

So try out Trigger and tell us what you think! We look forward to hearing from you.
