2025 Hollywood Walk Of Fame: Who Will Be Getting Honours?

From motion picture stars to sporting legends, here are all the stars who will have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2025.

A new group of entertainment professionals have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Selected by the Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, this class was announced at a live press conference on June 24th.

Steven Nissen the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President, additionally Walk of Famers actors Niecy Nash, Joe Mantegna and music producer Jimmy Jam were the ones to announce the new honorees.

36 entertainment stars, all in different categories varying from motion pictures, television, recording, live theatre/performance, radio, and sports, have been selected.

But who are these stars going to, you may ask? Here is the class of 2025:

In the Category of Motion Pictures:

Eleven out of the 36 honorees were from the Motion Picture category. Two-time Oscar-winner for Best Actress in Klute and Coming Home, Jane Fonda is set to have a star on the Walk of Fame. This is alongside Jessica Chastain, who has also won best actress for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye in 2022.

Horror showed up on the honor list this year as American filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, famously known for directing 1978’s Halloween, has been recognized for his work for Horror Motion Pictures. ‘Freddy Krueger’ is also set to receive a star on the Walk of Fame. Robert Englund, for his role in A Nightmare on Elm Street, will now be causing a Nightmare on the Walk of Fame after his honourable mention.

Hollywood’s first ever Black Stuntwomen, Toni Vaz, after her outstanding career which started in 1951 may I just add, will finally be receiving a star after 73 years in showbiz. With over 50 TV shows and movies to her credit and over 20 thousand hours of performance, her star will definitely be a legacy on the Walk of Fame.

Other honourees include:

Actor and director, Bill Duke. Actor and filmaker, Emilio Estevez. Irish- actor, Colin Farrell. Actress, Nia Long. Actress, Lisa Lu and lastly actor, writer and director, Glynn Turman.

In the Category of Television

There are 9 honours in the Television category for 2025, with a double ceremony for actors, animators and filmmakers Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The pair have won five Primetime Emmys for their work on South Park, and multiple Tony awards between them. Additionally, Parker and Stone share a Grammy award for their book The Book of Mormon, leaving them one Oscar award away from EGOT status.

Two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner, Courtney B. Vance will receive a star next year alongside Sherri Shepherd who has won a Daytime Emmy for being a co-host of The View.

Additionally, Bill Nye, everyone’s favourite science guy will also be taking a star on the Walk of Fame for the Television category.

Other honourees for Television are:

Actress, writer and national president of SAG-AFTRA, Fran Drescher. Actress, producer and novelist, Lauren Graham. Comedian and actress, Molly Shannon. Lastly, Broadcast journalist Chris Wallace.

In the Category of Recording

Again eleven honorees will take stars in 2025 for the Recording category, with Prince receiving a very rare posthumous Walk of Fame. The ‘Purple Rain’ legend will receive this honour over eight years since he passed away. Prince previously turned down the honour (twice) when he was still alive as he believed he was “not ready.”

Alongside Prince, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame bands are bringing their rock and rolling onto the Walk of Fame. Depeche Mode, Green Day and The Isley Brothers have accepted honours.

Country music is also hitting the Walk of Fame with Grammy-winning Keith Urban and George Strait set to receive stars. George Strait recently just set the concert record at Kyle Field performing to a whopping 110,905 fans, breaking the U.S. record for the biggest crowd at a concert.

Other Recording Walk’s of Fame go too: Fantasia. Los Bukis. The B-52s. Busta Rhymes. Lastly, WAR.

In the Category of Live Theatre/Live Performance

American ballet dancer Misty Copeland and Actor Alan Cumming take the only two honours given in the category of Live Theatre/ Live Performance.

Misty in 2015 became the first African American female principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. She has danced in music videos, broadway, and film. She has even published the memoir Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina in 2014.

Alan Cumming is a two-time Tony winner. He also won best actor in the musical Cabaret in 1988. He was also among the producers of A Strange Loop which was named best musical in 2022.

In the Category of Radio

Radio personality, comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla has been the only person to be honoured a Walk of Fame star in the category of Radio.

He hosts the popular The Adam Carolla Show, which is a talk show distributed as a podcast. His podcast has set the record as the ‘most downloaded podcast’ according to the Guinness World Records in 2011. The podcast recieved over 59 million unique downloads.

In the Category of Sports Entertainment

Ex-professional football player David Beckham and ex-professional baseball player and analyst Orel Hershiser have been honoured for the Sports Entertainment Walk of Fame.

The English former football player will receive the star following the success of his Netflix documentary Beckham, released last year. The documentary was so well received globally that Hollywood is now acknowledging the football legend. He beat Posh Spice to it!

From the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985 to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2025, Orel Hershiser takes a star for Baseball. Orel had played 18 seasons for 4 different teams, including the Dodgers and Indians. He had 204 wins during his career before he retired in June 2000.

When Can We Expect to See the Stars?

Unfortunately, It has not been announced as of yet when we can see the stars being installed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but 2025 is the year. The upcoming star ceremonies are usually announced ten days before the dedication which is shown on the Walk of Fame website.
