Valet Indoor Storage Case Study: Application For Managing Stored High-value Assets

Valet Indoor Storage provides indoor boat storage, RV and car storage, and self-storage in the Sacramento area. Valet has a broad focus on indoor storage, no matter if it is because of home-owners’ association rules, a city ordinance, or something as simple as a home garage not being quite big enough for a 40' coach.

Business Problem

Valet needed a software solution to manage the entire RV housing process after a customer dropped off their RV at the Valet facility. This included executing a series of processes at the arrival of each RV. Each of these high-value machines requires special care while it is parked at the Valet facility; this activity also needs to be carefully tracked. Finally, a series of processes need to be executed as the RV exits the Valet facility.

Solution

Trillo built the application for managing the fleet of RV’s while they are housed at the Valet storage facility. This application is fully customizable and it allows the Valet storage facility to assign and track an extensible number of tasks that need to be completed for each stored RV. The location of each RV is known, and may be tracked and reported. The application offers very easy user management since the storage industry is highly-dynamic when it comes to personnel. There is also the ability to scan barcodes and take photos of an RV.

Outcome

The application has been in production for almost 18 months and we have encountered no production issues thus far. This is due to one of Trillo’s critical built-in low-code features, i.e. the ability to use large amounts of pre-hardened and stable code to build applications.
