In the last months, I experienced first-hand the incredible thrill of joining a DAO with the simple act of minting an NFT.

Traditionally, to be part of a company or a startup, you need to go through a lengthy process involving paperwork, bank transfers, discussions and so on.

Also, you need to be accepted into it.
You can’t just show up and get in, can you?

It’s permissioned.

DAOs, on the other hand, are permissionless: anyone can join a DAO.

Now, it may sound like a bad idea, and maybe it is but, hey, we’re experimenting here, so all is fair game.

Since last August, we’ve been working on an NFT project, which has two products: the Traveler Loot

and the Little Traveler

I was at the beach (that’s not relevant, I know) and proposed the idea to the core team of Trips.
I said “send 0.2 ETH (about $700 at the time) to this address, we will collect some money, and we’ll start working on it”.

We started working on it at an incredible speed and efficiency, and my faith in DAOs grew even more.
We kept this proposal open until the end of 2021, and 19 people joined.

The money is still almost all there [Eth] [Arbitrum] [Polygon], because everyone worked for free and all we spent was the ETH gas to deploy a contract and some software AI to filter the background image.

Half of it (0.1 ETH) will be refunded to those who mint https://www.travelerloot.com and spend 0.1 ETH in gas or more.
(This is only valid for the first 19 people who joined).

Now we decided to open it up to more people and make it as easy as possible.

You can buy one “Traveler DAO Founder Certificate” for 0.1 ETH (about $250) and be part of it.
There are 100 of them in total, so if you buy one, you get 1% ownership of the DAO and 1% voting power on it.

It’s that simple.

You can also buy more of them, to get more ownership and governance.

Ownership gives you the right to claim a part of the earnings.
We will spend the earnings to promote the project, give perks to holders, do airdrops and redistribute them to the DAO members.

What you get
