The breeze is heart soothing, sound of the sea is the only sound I could hear, sun is setting at the horizon drawing a beautiful scene on a reddish canvas, the green mountains are standing with their own beauty against the sea — What can be a better evening than this!

Sun set at the beach

Was heading towards bus station from chittagong after attending one of my friend’s wedding. Suddenly felt some sort of adventure and decided to go to the longest sea beach in the world — Cox’s Bazar which was 4 hours bus journey away from our location. Three other of my friends joined in and there we started our journey to the sea!

Our destination was Himchori which included hills and a small waterfall. The steps might be tiring to climb but the view from above was breathtaking. The different colours of the sea could be visible from there. Also the light effect of the sun and clouds gifted us a charming environment.

In the meantime one or two episodes of light rain made the air even cleaner and the surrounding felt fresher. Then we hit back the most beautiful road in Bangladesh, the longest marine drive of the world! We dropped at a location where parasailing can be done. But, as this is not a tourist season and the weather was a bit rough, the parasailing was off and there wasn’t much of a crowd. Still, the beach was beautiful and peaceful, far away from overwhelming crowd. We took the opportunity and decided to stay there till sunset, undisturbed.

Self Reflection

And then …

Sometime the most unplanned trips can give us the most pleasurable experiences. For me, travel is not only for the purpose of traveling. When we stand in front of oceans, mountains or nature in general, we can feel how small and insignificant we are in this vast universe. It enables us to respect the world, human existence, myself. It inspires me to appreciate life even more and be thankful to the almighty. There is so much beauty in this world to see in a lifetime that sometimes I wish we could live a lot longer life and cherish the beauty of planet earth 🌏
