we arrived in London early in the morning 5.30 am , what a good time to go thro Heathrow, not wildly busy !!

As we were only here for four nights the decision was made to leave the big cases in the left luggage ,so we made our way to leave them at term 2 where we would pick up the plane to Calgary on the 11 th. For those interested this cost 80 pound for three cases for four days , not a bad deal when you only have two arms !!to carry what is left.

This made it totally easier to carry our remaining luggage on the tube to our destination hotel which was at Gloucester road station , all on the Piccadilly line , easy peezy.

And if you are looking for a great hotel write this down the Millenium Bailey hotel , one minutes walk from the station and not over the top price wise.

We started our day by going for a long walk in the cold drizzle , TRISH found a hair dresses she liked , and went in and got a million dollar hair do!! It looked a million dollars and it cost a million dollars, hey!! She is worth it.

That evening we met up with friends we have not seen for over 20 years in our days in Capetown, what a great evening all topped off with an Indian curry right next door to the hotel we were in . Here is hoping we can meet up again in France in the near future.

My brother Kevin, and Gill arrived for the following two days and we met up with his daughter and our God child Abigail with boyfriend Alex, they showed us another side of London we had not seen before, more in the suburbs that we have never been to . Abi and Alex spoiled us with their culinary skills and made us a great lunch which was followed by a late dinner at another Indian .

What a great couple of days in London and for me I was ready to return to our own Calgary home bed finally after four and a half months of being away .

what a lifetime experience we have had and next on the list is our yearly sojourn to Maui

see you soon
