MAR MANOR PART THREE

Finally after returning from Madrid and Toledo we had our last spell at Mar Manor before we left for South Africa, on returning from Madrid I came down with a stomach bug that lasted ten days and needless to say it took it right out of me and spoiled all the things we had planned for our final spell.

we didn’t get back to Cartagena or Murcia to to do the full tour of these historical cities, so guess what !! We will have to return some day . We did go further north up the coast towards Alicante and found new small towns ,one after the other , it was hard to believe how much time we had stayed inMar MENOR and how much we had not really seen, as I said , we will return some day. Trish and my overall thoughts on this area are that we seriously need to look further into it as a winter alternative to Calgary.

With my stomach problems ,instead of going to Munich for 4 days we cut it to an over night stop before flying to Capetown.

I have attached some photo’s of the food from the Saturday market, these photos do not do it justice, there was stall after stall of clothes , food, fruit, all locally made , the actual length of the market was over a km long.
