Arrived in Murcia after another brilliant bus ride( supra bus ) we then taxied from the bus station to Murcia airport where we picked the car up , this was about a 50 km ride by the way ,the airport is right on the coast and Murcia is totally inland ! The weather averages between 20 and 23 each day , chilly in the morning but the later you get up, the chilly has gone.

We hired a car for 5 euro a day plus 10 euro a day full insurance, so for 15 euro a day we have wheels for the next five weeks or so, the roads are so easy to get around I think I have said this before, the drivers are so polite I do not think I have heard a horn in anger!!

We have been very spoiled having the use of Nick and Rossie’s Condo for this long period, right on a golf course with a big lake out side and the sun sets at 1.00 ( direction ) looking out the back porch, couldn’t wish for more ,,,,,,,,, or maybe you could!!there is an Irish pub a ten minute walk away and a supermarket that has British food (specially breakfast food ) and the daily british newspaper every morning , what a change from all the European food we have been eating for weeks, and to top it all Satallite tv with 200 channels, half of them sport ,( lock me in and throw away the key )

We love this place more and more. We are in a very rural area with farms all around. Each Saturday is a farmers market with everything that is in season at the time. There is also a Cheese stall, Olives, Hams, fresh breads and pastries. Everything tastes so good as its so fresh. No one speaks any english so it is so much fun trying out a few Spanish words to communicate with each other to get the sale done. A weeks supply of fresh veggies, meats, salads etc cost no more than 30 euros, it is so cheap!!

We are also discovering all the different little towns around. Fabulous open air shopping centre similar to LA with all the latest fashions, fabulous shoes etc about a 20 minute drive called La Zania. Also the beaches are right there, cove after cove with pathways connecting and little tapas bars dotted around.

We also went to Cartagena which turned out to be a total surprise. Its quite a large town. Was the biggest Naval port in Spain in its day and is built on top of Roman ruins. Also boasts an Amphitheatre. We spent the day there and have to go back to do all the museums. Lots of history.

We will update later, the photos are of the view from the condo evening and an hour before sundown

Till later
