STOPOVER VISIT TO MURCIA

From Istanbul we flew to Murcia Spain, via Madrid airport, Istanbul airport, once again very easy and accessible to get around, even Madrid airport was a surprise How easy it was to get from one terminal to the other, but be aware if you do come thro Madrid you need quite a lot of time, it took about 30 minutes to get from terminal one to terminal four.

We finally arrive in Murcia around 7 pm, Hilton and Anita met us and really were the perfect hosts for the next three days. Murcia is where Trisha’s brother Nick has a condo on a golf resort.Hilton and Anita are Nicks wife Roslyn’s parents who have been holidaying and looking after the place for the past two months

First impressions of Murcia and it surrounds were , WHAT A GREAT PLACE THIS IS.

On the map Murcia is basically between Alicante and Cartagena about 8 km in from the coast line near a lagoon type bay called MAR MENOR, Trish and I will have plenty of time to explore This area when we return for a much longer stay in November .

At the moment there are not a lot of people around even thought the temperatures are in the 26 c range.

looking forward to coming back here for some golf and chill time.

Next stop is Lisbon in Portugal, going thro Madrid airport again .

we had a hotel picked out in Lisbon but did not book it until the night before and got it 50 euro a night cheaper.
