And so we finally arrived at our last hotel of our COLOURS OF RAJISTAN tour and what an experiencing tour it has been .

This hotel THE TAJ LAKE PALACE HOTEL in the lake called LAKE PINCHOLA which has the Aravelli mountains as its background is probably the most scenic setting one could expect to see in the middle of India , inside it is as majestic as outside But once again not for the feint hearted, a beer was11 dollars and a glass of wine was 19 dollars , but hey in these surroundings who is thinking about a few dollars !!

We spent the day visiting the City Palace complex and I tell ya these guys spared no enpense I’m the marble table tops !! , this palace is also a living palace with the Maharana of Mewar Living there at present , quite the I’M AL RIGHT JACK scenario when yo go outside the city walls .

We spent about 2 hour going through the splendours and the museums in the palace , I must say a lot like previous palaces we have been to on this trip, a something I didn’t mention, no photos allowed !! By now we had made our way to the other exit of the palace walls which led us into city markets and bazaars, needless to say TRISH found a nice little tailor and had two dresses made , the guy delivered them to the hotel 4 hours later. ( he also took them back and modified them as they did not fit )

After an evening cruise around the lake we then completed our tour with an evening meal fit for a king !! The 20 tour members and the tour director all had a emotional and final farewell , swapping email addresses , most probably never to be seen again ! Only joking, we met some great people and I am sure we will bother when we get to Aussie.

So tomorrow we say goodbye to Nick and Rossie, most probably for another year m it was great spending time with them , they will make their way back to South Africa , and TRISH and I and Pete and Lesley will head off to Mumbia for the final three days of our Indian adventure.

See you later
