TRON’s SUN Network Side Chain Challenge was successfully concluded: Winning DApps paint a bright picture of TRON’s future
The SUN Network Side Chain Developers’ Challenge held by TRON official was successfully concluded.
Since the initiation of the challenge on November 15, 2019, over fifty teams from all across the globe have partaken in the challenge. During the process, TRON Foundation and all competing teams conducted adequate communication, and 22 pieces stood out after four months of spirited competition and hard work. TRON Foundation organized a panel of professional judges to decide on the 22 winning DApps fair and square according to their core operational data such as user volume and trading volume as well as level of completeness and gameplay.
Despite this tough time of COVID-19 pandemic, DApp practitioners have demonstrated both enthusiasm and commitment to blockchain business over the course of this Challenge. Most DApp entries impressed the judges with their remarkably high quality and trading volume. This Challenge is a great success and TRON is happy to accommodate these feisty newcomers.
The success of this Challenge is a testament to the trust community developers and developing teams have in TRON and its sidechain project SUN Network. It also shows the commitment of TRON to fully supporting third-party DApps with its engineering resources for a healthy development of blockchain technology.
As of now, TRON DAppChain has provided full support for over 1000 tokens while recording a block height surpassing 5.9 million, a peak real-time TPS hitting 67/s, more than 100,000 daily transactions, over 5 million daily TRX circulation and over 140,000 real-time addresses. It’s fair to say that TRON DAppChain is the frontrunner among all side chain projects in its DApp growth, quality and trading volume, with SUN Network evolving to be a widely-popular star project across the whole network.
As a side chain scaling solution that TRON sets much store by, Side Chain Developers’ Challenge serves as only another starting point for the SUN Network project. TRON is now brewing SUN Network 2.0 based on a profound study of current cross-chain projects. We will also integrate zk-SNARKs, Fisher incentive mechanism, PBFT consensus, etc. to optimize SUN Network Oracles relay chain and achieve new breakthroughs in TRON side chain technology. Our ultimate goal is to upgrade the performance of side chain to the next level, to significantly improve the interaction between main chain and side chain, and meanwhile, to deploy new side chains on demand so as to build a well-rounded side chain ecosystem along with our community!
As the contest concludes, TRON will continue to redouble its efforts in supporting developers. To the winning teams, TRON will offer them all the necessary technical and operational assistance. In addition, we will soon hold the second SUN Network Sidechain Developers Contest to draw developers across the community with the aim to pump out more premium content for TRON and put all hands together to achieve the vision of a great TRON ecosystem.
