The rationale for Troubling Nature

This Medium publication exists to help the application of genetics through public policy by exploring issues at the junction of science and society. The main contributor fairly recently completed a doctoral thesis on the subject of the relationship between genetics, education, embryo selection and societal values; the issue of race was central.

It is hoped that the publication will assist scientists seeking a better understanding of the junction of science, other ways of knowing and public values; and help non-scientists concerned with social justice avoid science-denial.

Topics include new scientific research, bioethics, social and racial justice, criminal justice, education and politics. Articles are intended to be easily accessible accessible and links reflect this wherever possible. Comments are very welcome and will receive quick replies where appropriate.
