I am afraid someone will judge me. That my workplace will find out. That I will get fired. That I will offend people I love.

That I will be hated

Scorned.

Exiled.

I have committed lots and lots of sins, Madame Christine. But I am afraid to tell you even the tamest of them.

I am afraid of authenticity.

I want to continue in this mask. This costume. This fakery.

It’s all I know.
