Was there more to the story, of the mystery writer who had now starred in her own real-life mysterious affair?

Agatha Christie, one of the most well-known mystery authors, had her share of secrets. Born Agatha Miller until she married Archibald Christie on Christmas Eve, 1914.

A few days after their marriage, Archie was sentoff to fight in World War One. Leaving her behind where she worked as a nurse. During this time, she wrote her first book “The Mysterious Affair at Styles”, published in 1920. It would be her fifth book that brought her into the media’s spotlight “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd”.

Life seemed to be goingwell for the Christie family by 1926. They had a daughter, Rosalind, and were moving into a mansion they named “Styles”. Agatha was continuing her writing career, and Archie was an investment banker.

Soon after Agatha’s mother passed away. Her and Rosalind went to her mother’s estate for a while. Archie came to visit on Rosalind’s birthday, where he asked Agatha for a divorce. He said he had been seeing a woman he worked with named Nancy Neil.

Agatha, still in love with Archie and wanting her marriage to work, followed him back home. In an attempt, to convince him to give their marriage another chance.
