Canabalistic Death on Las Vegas Boulevard

--

Las Vegas, Nevada, is known as the World’s Playground. It’s also home to an above-average crime rate. The city sits in the middle of the desert, blinking like a beacon for people from all over to come and have fun. But sometimes, the fun ends in murder.

7–11 on 1100 Las Vegas Blvd | Via Yelp

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 4:44 am, an employee at 7–11 on Las Vegas Boulevard called 911 to report a man attacking another. He said that a man had a customer pinned on the ground and was repeatedly smashing the victim’s head into the concrete.

At 5:30 am, an employee of the nearby Am/Pm called 911 saying that a man near the bus stop was on top of another man, eating the victim’s face.

A short time after this, Las Vegas Metro Police — LVMP arrived on the scene. Officers noted that the aggressor was eating an eyeball. They were able to put the attacker in cuffs and assess the victim. EMTs were dispatched to the scene and took the victim, who was suffering from a back of the head injury and a laceration to his face, with a missing eyeball and ear, to the hospital. He would be pronounced dead.

With the attacker in custody, his prints were run and returned with the name Colin Czech, 29. The officer’s notes mention biological matter found on Czech’s hair, mouth, and on his clothing.
