Halloween 2011 in Armstrong, B.C. Canada

Taylor Van Diest 18, dressed up as a Zombie, in what was going to be her last trick-or-treat, before she got too old as she joked.

She left her house on foot around 6 pm, walking to a friend’s home, but she never made it.

Taylor texted her friend as she walked, her last text read “being creeped,” meaning she was being followed.

A search party was put together as soon as it was realized Taylor was missing. She would be found a few hours after her attack, next to railway tracks.

Taylor was found face down, with a steel pipe lying beneath her head.

Her family and friends quickly got to Taylor before she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. But unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries.

After Taylor died, a nurse clipped her fingernails and gave them to the investigators hoping they could lead to her killer.

A Killer is Caught

Matthew Foerster 25, was brought in for questioning in Taylor’s murder.
