Behind the fake smiles and made up stories, was a man willing to kill to keep his secrets.

Shanti Cooper-Tronnes was found dead on April 24, 2018, inside her Florida home.

That fateful day her husband, David Tronnes, said that while his wife was getting a bath, he took their dogs to the park and then did work around the house. It wasn’t until hours later that he wondered where she was.

Going to look for her after 4 pm, David said he found her in a partially filled tub. He claimed to have pulled her out, carried her into the bedroom, and placed her on the floor. Then he called 911 right away.

The initial scene stuck out as odd to investigators since Shanti’s body was completely dry, along with the bathroom. Also, the blood evidence on the bedroom floor was not fresh but had dried over also.

An autopsy would show that Shanti had died from the result of blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation. It could not be the result of a slip and fall accident. The report would also say that Shanti most likely died before going to bed the night before.

The time of death was backed up by the fact that Shanti was found in her pajamas. She looked to have taken off her watch and placed it on the nightstand with…
