The facts are a 10-year-old girl needed to travel to a different state to have an abortion because when she was nine years old, a 27-year-old man raped her. And finally, he came to the United States illegally.
Timeline of Events
On June 22, Franklin County Children Services in Ohio contacted the Columbus Police Department to report the rape after being alerted by the girl’s mother.
On June 30, the girl traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, and had a medical abortion.
Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis doctor, shared her findings, which line up with what the girl and her mother reported when the rapes happened.
On Tuesday, July 12, Gershon Fuentes, 27, was arrested for rape. He told detectives he had sex with the girl at least two times.
