Konstantinos X. Fotopoulos
Fotopoulos was born in Greece in 1959. He left his homeland to attend high school in America, living with a relative in Chicago, Illinois.
After finishing both college and post-graduate degrees, he eventually made his way to Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Beginning of the End
By 1989 the 28-year-old Fotopoulos owned Top Shots, a pool hall in Florida, but was dealing with several problems. Which led him to come up with a murder scheme to try and make his troubles disappear.
Fotopoulos had come under the Secret Services radar recently in connection with counterfeit money.
The Greek had purchased $100,000 in counterfeit money and spent the $100 bills around the southeast US. He was officially named a “person of interest” by the Secret Service.
