There is so much debate if Serial Killers are Born or Made, with Marc Evonizt it seems to be both Nurture and Nature led to his way of life.

In May of 1996 Julianne “Julie” Williams 24, was getting ready for a move, and to start a new job in June. She planned to be moving to Vermont with Laura “Lollie” Winans 26. Before they left to go hiking Lollie told her friends she’d be back for their upcoming wedding at the start of June. Neither woman would make it home for all of the things they were so looking forward to.

Both were avid hikers, and no strangers to the woods and nature. Julie was a geology major from St Cloud, Minnesota. Lollie from Unity, Maine was studying to be a certified guide at the time of their trek into the woods.

On May 19, Julie and Lollie headed out into the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Along for the hike was Taj, Lollie’s golden retriever. They were hiking on the Appalachian Trail near the famous Skyland Resort. This part of the Appalachian Trail leads hikers through 400-year-old hemlocks. With waterfalls, gorges, and mountains that let hikers see views in all directions. A dream come true for nature lovers.

What’s known is the two young women were fine until May 24. They had been hiking and even hopped a ride with a park ranger and renewed their park passes. They also…
