At 6:45 PM on February 5, 1990, Paul Glover contacted authorities in West London, England, to report the abduction of his 5-month-old son, Ames Glover.

He claimed to have left the baby in the backseat of his blue Ford Sierra for twenty minutes so that he could go to a Lloyds bank cash point and a “Kwality” takeout restaurant. The vehicle was parked on South Road, Southall, at the junction with Hamilton Road.

Paul told police officers the car was locked, but there was no evidence of a break-in, and no one could corroborate his story.

Ames / My London

Paul, a 28-year-old from Ghana, married 22-year-old Shanika Ondaatjie a month after their son was born. By the time Ames went missing, the couple were separated and living apart. Paul was supposed to return Ames to his mother in the days leading up to his disappearance, but she reluctantly agreed to his request for a delay.
