Elderly Man Fatally Shot During Apparent Home Robbery
A safe was stolen from Lowell Badger’s home, although his daughter says it didn’t contain anything valuable.
Lowell Badger was an 85-year-old retired farmer from Merom, Indiana. He lived in a rural home on West County Road 350 North, where he and his late wife Nellie raised their four children, one of whom died at age seven after being crushed in a tractor accident.
