Woman Murdered by Men Looking to “Get a Girl” Has Been Unidentified for 15 Years
The burned body of Irvine Jane Doe was found in the middle of a California parking lot in 2009.
On September 5, 2009, John Ring pulled into a parking lot in the 1800 block of Kettering Street in Irvine, California. The space was used by the adjoining businesses and industrial companies, including Pasternack Enterprises, where he worked.
Because it was 8:30 AM on a Saturday, John was the only one there and immediately noticed the burned body curled up in the middle of the lot.
The Black woman’s face was bloody, her left eye was swollen, and her tongue was sticking out. She had been beaten and strangled to death less than 24 hours before.
Forensic experts determined that she was between 13 and 26 and had never received dental care. She was about 6 ft tall and 152 lbs with medium-length brown curly hair and brown eyes. There was marijuana in her system.
She wore a black camisole, a black skirt, and multi-colored animal print undershorts with a pair of size ten black high heels with straps across the front and a metal zipper.
