Missing Son of Ex-NFL Player Has Been Found Safe — Both Parents Taken into Custody
Father facing child abuse allegations
Former NFL player Daniel Muir and his wife Kristin were arrested after their missing 14-year-old son, Bryson, was found in Indiana, police said Wednesday.
Bryson Muir disappeared on Father’s Day after “allegations of domestic battery” were made concerning him, according to an Indiana State Police press release.
Cheryl Wright, Bryson’s grandmother, alerted police that the teen had allegedly been abused by his dad.
“His face was battered. When I got him he had a black eye and busted lip,” Wright told FOX 59.
“His whole face was swollen. I can only imagine how many times he had been hit in the face for it to be like that.”
A Silver Alert was issued for Bryson. Police launched a child abuse investigation and released a photo showing Bryson with a swollen eye.
According to state police, the parents initially showed “signs of cooperation” and agreed to bring Bryson to meet with investigators on Friday, June 28.
