Ideas Alone are Worthless.

Why do investors refuse to fund ideas?
It’s simple, nobody has and will ever change the world on paper.

Ideas are little stories in our head. Like dreams, they’re influenced by what we spend most of our day thinking about. We share them with our loved ones and they tell us how revolutionizing the idea is. (She’s your grandma, she’s not going to tell you how stupid your app is. And In most cases, she’s not your ideal user)

Investors try not to act emotionally. They’ve probably met hundreds of dreamers, and they’ve funded one or two. They understand that an idea is just worth a little. A lot of things go into turning thought into cash, they want to ensure you’ve tested the other parts, you’ve validated the idea.

Ideas are what we want and not what the world wants. If a person tells you they have this idea, you can tell how far they’ll go by how much of the idea they’ve experimented on.

If you’ve ever thought of a great idea but never executed on it, you pretty much understand what I’m saying.

Things are much harder in the real world. Have a great day. 😄
